armadillo san's photos taken in Hang Zhou & Shanghai and some words about them.

I took train from Hang Zhou to Shanghai. It took almost 2 and half hours. Herewith attached are the photos I took in Shanghai in recent trip to there.
Let me explain some backgrounds of these photos.

I was with a Chinese associate in the train and in our compartment,
there was a young Chinese couple in front of us.

The guy didn't look
clever or smart not to mention intelligent at all, but the girl was
reading "Principles of Microeconomics"

Genroku

We took dinner at Genroku rotating Sushi Bar in Shanghai. Taking Japanese beers and chilled sake as usual, I noticed that the majority
of customers here were young girls. There were some young boys as well
but it seemed to me they were forced to accompany with their girl
friends for the bill, I suppose. The photo of a cute baby was taken by
me cos his young mother was quite attractive, you know.

After dinner, we dropped in one of Starbucks for a cup of cafelatte.
Again, one Chinese couple sat beside of our table. (Why young couples
popped up around everytime!) And here again, the boy seemed to me
perfectly dull head. And the moment they sat in, the girl took out a
note-pc from her bag and started net-surfin with wireless LAN.
I had a small chat with the girl about her pc but didn't go further
considering the probably unpleasant feeling of the boy.

What a gentleman I am!

There were Starbucks, McDonalds and Japan's Uniqlo, too.
Please enjoy the atomosphere of Shanghai night.

This photo was taken while I was waiting for my return flight to Japan.
I don't know who's designed the airport but it's quite modern isn't it?

Conclusion of armadillo
Shanghai's young generation prefer going out happening places in couples.
While most boys looked dull and conservative, almost all the girls of
such couples seemed to be quite active, intelligent, open-minded and
pushful. The 21st century Shanghai Cultural Revolution is now being led
by those admirable young girls. Girls, be ambitious more!
