"The Story of the Retired Japanese Wife"
(This is Huy's joke, please, laugh or chucle at his humor)

This week in Time Magazine we take a look into the lives of the retired Japanese Lady. We examine how she would spend her days. In general, most Japanese ladies enjoy some kind of hobby once they have retired. They balance hobbies such as tennis or mountain hiking with a difficult and often thankless task. This thankless task is to look after their retired husbands, to cook and clean for them and take care of their often difficult requirements. We spoke to a Kasukabe lady about this and interviewed her to give further insight into the typical Retired Japanese Wife's life. The woman wished to remained un-named, so we will just call her yokiyo san. We asked about Yokiyo san's hobbies, she replied "I like to do many things, my two main hobbies are studying english and looking after homeless animals". Yokiyo San is what some might call an animal activist, she began to study english no longer than 10 years ago and now has a native grasp of the language. Yokiyo said "from studying english has come many things that make my life interesting, I read books alot and I even have a website that I update regularly. I've meet a lot of friends through chatting on my Website and BBS, its wonderful!". Yokiyo also has learnt how to use a computer and has built her own website and BBS. Yokiyo San is busy taking care of her husband's needs and her animal's needs and still finds time to study english by reading books, reading Time Magazine and having conversation lessons. Yokiyo san also says that her husband is not as demanding as he used to be, she enjoys spending time with him and loves to cook him delicious meals. She also meets new people around Kasukabe. "I have conversation lessons with many gaijin AET's. They're very interesting and I find chatting with them helps my english. My favourite AET was a girl from Australia, she was about 30 years old and she was an activist just like me. She supported environmental issues not animal issues. I meet a very strange Vietnamese/New Zealand AET once. He was a little bit hen(strange) so I told him to go back to NZ and never email me again. But he sometimes still emails me just to make me laugh. He is an idiot!" ;o).

Yokiyo san is a model expample of a Japanese wife and spends her time doing many great tasks that not only benefit her, but more importantly, the community she lives in. She is a happy lady who enjoys life, Yokiyo san, Time Magazine is lucky to have you as a subscriber, and thank you for reading so dilligently.
