| 1月４日（木） 笠森観音へ初詣。行きたい、でも行かなくてもいい、などと相棒がうるさいので去年行った笠森観音に連れて行くことにした。車を走らせれば渋滞がなければ1時間以内に着く。今回50分で到着。車の列がは無料駐車場につながっているのでケチらず500円有料駐車場にとめる。この時期は近所のかたがたはアルバイトに忙しく、1台500円ならちょっとした額になるだろう。 見学するといってもたいした時間はかからないことはわかっている。でも高いところにお堂が作られているので登れば見晴らしはよいし、下を眺めるのも又楽しい。ウォーキングで展望台まで歩いてみた。太平洋岸が見える。この前来たときはワタクシの父とユートピア笠森まで歩いたが今日はそんな気力なし。相棒はお土産をいろいろ買い込んでいたがお店の人からげんこつ飴を一粒サービスされてなめたら意外とおいしいのでワタクシも一袋買い込むことになった。お店の人が「なんだか押し売りみたいですみません」と恐縮していた。昼食をケチって家から持っていったどら焼き一つで間に合わせた。以下、パンフレットに載っていた英文の説明。 Kasamori-Kannon Kasamori-Kannon, formally named "Tendaishu Bekkaku-Daihonzan Kasamori-ji (Extra-Status Cathedral of Tendai Sect Kasamori-ji Temple)," was founded by Saicho (the founder of the Tendai Sect) in 784 A.D. with an image of an eleven-faced Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) enshrined at the top of the mountain. Kannon-Do (the temple dedicated to Kannon), being a sole structure in Japan in a style called "Shiho Kakezukuri", was built by the direct order of Emperor Goichijo in 1028 A.D., and is registered as national important cultural property. The surrounding mountains are designated as natural park area by the prefectural government. Especially, the natural forest of the mountain on which Kannon-Do stands is protected as precious natural product by the national government. ※Remove shoes when entering Kannon-Do. 和訳は笠森観音入場パンフレットに載ってます。 |
